Hampshire Doulas

The initiation from maiden to mother is an important rite of passage and one made more confidently with love, care and skilled support.

I’m Lucinda, mum, wife, doula and Lactation Consultant.
I’ve been working with new families in Dorset & Hampshire for over 15 years, helping to ease the transition into the wonderful (and often daunting) world of parenting, as gently and holistically as possible.
This work is my calling and gives me immense joy to be of service in this way.

This is your birth and your baby and your needs and wishes are what’s important. Exploring your options with evidence-based information and a good listener, can really help you make choices that feel right for you.
As your birth doula, my job is to be alongside you during your pregnancy, help you prepare for breastfeeding, support you emotionally, physically and spiritually as needed. To be a trusted support, beside you for your birth and during that precious time post birth, to help get breastfeeding off to a beautiful start.

As your postpartum doula I will support you during this tender time for as long as you feel you need it. Light household duties, or meal prep, watching baby while you nap or running the hoover over, I’m there with a listening ear and practical tips, helping out in ways that make a big difference.

My lactation consultant qualification means I will help you to meet your breastfeeding goals; be it for one hour, one day or one year (or more!).
You will have access to the gold standard in breastfeeding support with the most up to date specialist knowledge and practical tips and techniques honed from years of service.
If there are feeding issues, I aim to get to the root cause quickly, by identifying any underlying issues and putting steps in place to manage and then resolve those issues in a timely manner, so you’re feeling confident and reassured.

I will surround you and support you with love, care and integrity at this very transformative time.
