I am an experienced birthkeeping doula, supporting birth in the way you want – with home birth my specialism. I trained as both a registered nurse and midwife (now retired) and have always had faith in a woman’s innate ability to give birth. The community team I worked with in London had a 40% homebirth rate. I have supported 1000s of women in their pregnancy, birth and postnatal period, including twins, HBAC and breech, and I have nearly 100% success rate for vaginal birth with my doula clients. Because of my experience, I can support you in your decision-making and available choices for birth.
As a certified hypnotherapist, I can tailor scripts to your need, including helping with anxiety and phobias and offer complementary therapies such as homeopathy and biomechanics to support you in this wonderful time.
I am an active member of Nickita Starck’s When Push Comes To Shove, an alternative holistic maternity service, and also mentor other doulas and birthkeepers. We specialise in supporting women who don’t necessarily ‘fit’ into the NHS model of care.
I am based near Fareham, but I am willing to travel and currently have clients in Hampshire, Dorset and Sussex.
