Birth and Postnatal Doula
Hello! I’m Gemma, a Birth and Postnatal Doula, based in Wiltshire but I cover areas of Hampshire too (I am happy to travel up to an hour away from the SN9 postcode).
I am hugely passionate about supporting women and families throughout their whole journey, I really take the time to listen to your hopes and wishes and do my best to prepare you for birth and early parenting. Following the birth of my two children, I felt compelled to help others experience a positive birth and journey into parenthood thereafter. I had two different births, the second being incredibly empowering and two very different postnatal experiences, all of which led me to where I am now!
I am DBS cleared, paediatric first aid trained to Level 3 and fully insured. I have completed a course in Biomechanics for Birth with Molly O’Brien and passed the ABM (Association of Breastfeeding Mothers) Foundation Module so I am able to support new parents on their breastfeeding journeys. I am also registered with Carrot Insurance.

I am passionate about ensuring you have a positive experience, feel supported, nurtured and heard along your journey in pregnancy, enabling you to strive for an empowering birth experience and have someone to lean on in those very busy first weeks and months after birth. I will be there to hold your hand, listen to your hopes and guide you, offering evidence based information to support your choices.
Everyone’s situation and needs are different; I take the time to listen carefully to what you want and develop a tailored support plan with you.
I offer stand alone birth planning sessions and postnatal overnight support in addition to full spectrum doula offerings. Birth Doula, Postnatal Doula, Overnight Support, Breastfeeding Supporter, Birth Preparation Sessions, Preparing to Breastfeed Sessions.
